The Harbour Chandler's AI voice agents went from answering half its calls to 99%

Customer SupportSalesProductivity

Calls answered: ~52% to 99%
6,443 calls handled by AI
2,287 callbacks booked in 9 months
Profit up at least 25% (CEO estimate)

What was done

The Harbour Chandler, a marine and fishing retailer that ships across Canada and the US, put two AI voice agents on its existing phone lines in August 2025. They pick up when a call would otherwise ring past a busy counter or after closing, take the caller's details, answer product questions and book callbacks. The same vendor's inventory agent drafts Shopify listings, and a newer sales agent texts checkout links to callers mid-call.

Outcome

Brainova's case study says the agents answered 99% of 6,443 calls between August 2025 and July 2026, up from roughly 52% before, and booked 2,287 callbacks in the first nine months. Shopify publishing went from about 90 listings a week to hundreds a day. CEO Matt Price credits the system with at least a 25% profit increase, by his own count. Figures are vendor-reported.

Prompt Reconstructed by AgentsNorth

The source didn't publish its prompt. This is our reconstruction of a starting prompt for a similar workflow, not the company's actual prompt.

You are the phone agent for a Canadian marine and fishing supply store. Answer only when staff can't pick up. Greet the caller, find out what they need, and answer product, stock, shipping and hours questions using the store catalogue and policies. If you can't answer confidently, or the caller wants to buy something that needs advice, collect their name, phone number and question and book a callback with the right staff member. Never guess at stock or prices you can't see. End by confirming the callback time.
